hey everyone, i have a suggestion for the site which i feel is really important
currently the maximum file size for avatars is 300KB, and i was recently hired by some users here onsite to make some animated avatars.
the problem is that they've already paid, and it's near impossible to get these avatars down to 300KB.
i think it would be totally reasonable to allow up to a few MB perhaps so that users can use better animated avatars as well as higher quality static avatars.
i know the suggestion to raise avatar dimensions has already been suggested and answered, but that is not the problem for me.
the limit of 300kb makes avatar selection slightly harder.
if you don't want to raise the limit could we perhaps allow users to use avatars hosted on other sites? for example, instead of uploading my avatar to OGU servers, i upload them to Imgur and simply copy the link and paste the link into a form on OGU. i have seen that used on other sites and it really makes avatar customization a lot better.
