Group Leader Permissions.

Leaders of Groups can just "add" a user into a group, without a user's knowledge or permission.  I think that Leaders should be able to "invite" a user, but not be able to forcefully put them into their group.. Or, let a user toggle whether or not a person can add them into groups.  The invite option would be easier.

Pretty simple & straight forward suggestion.

Inviting is an option but I've had issues with it in the past it's easier to add someone haha

No no no.. My thread was to feel out options, and to let group leaders know I am ready.  I never said I wanted to be "put into a group", and my thread even says I was just feeling out my options.

You're not wrong, but what if someone goes offline for 8-72 hours?  Then, for that span, they are assumed "apart of that group", when in reality, they aren't.
