This is extremely true! I'm from the UK and we have a similar divide between the right and left wings, I am able to have a civil discussion with someone until they knowingly start rattling off their bullshit claims. I am a right wing guy, supporting the conservative party and I believe I speak for the large majority of those on the right but we have a level of self control which I so seldom find in the left wing opposition. Mob rule and mantras are the most common defence mechanism for them. Look no further than a political rally and the behaviour on display, 9/10 times the left will be more confrontational. I, again, can have civil and intelligent discussion but when that turns to a barrage of simple and infantile insults I begin to lose hope...
