Limiting reputation to 3 per day is needed, here's why
I was just checking out the rep logs, and i've seen a few or more people rep 20 times in just one day. I know some people are against this, "it's just rep why does it matter?" - right there you're contradicting yourself. If it doesn't matter, don't rep4rep all day it just makes you look LQ. I don't like to call out names because i'm pretty chill with everyone , but something needs to be done here..
- People new to the og community look at rep when dealing. This is an issue when we have past scammers with 100+ rep that have rep4repped all day every day. Yes, we say always use a middleman, but you need to understand that new people don't always make the smartest decisions. A lot of the newer people look at reputation similar to eBay or Amazon's feedback system, they see someone has good reputation "Why would they scam?" , I used to look at it the same way, and I learned my lesson, but I think there will be a lot more scamming on this forum just because of this reputation abuse. With how easy it is to upgrade because of post spamming in the music section (that's a different story) a lot of people are being upgraded, therefore there are more people who are throwing out rep like it's nothing all day.
- Reputation is being abused so badly on this forum and it's starting to look very LQ with all the past scammers are above the people with "trusted" badge in reputation. I think reputation being limited to 3 a day will help, but that's still not enough. Staff team needs to monitor reputation abuse more closely and try to put an end to it. I know you can't completely get rid of it, because it can be hard to spot in some situations, but anything to change it helps.
An overall rep reset on the forum before implemented would be great, but of course that wouldn't happen because it would upset many people.
My goal isn't to make anyone upset here on this forum, just trying to improve the overall quality. Input on this is would be nice and an overall debate with no flaming would be great.
Addon: The vouch system isn't being used like it's supposed to either, it states that you are supposed to link the sales thread and failure to do so the vouch gets removed and you get a penalty for it, I don't really see any of that. People are just throwing vouches around just like they are the reputation.
