Why do we need this? Can we not just use a filter app on a picture and upload it to Ig afterwards?

if you want to manually rotoscope a 3d object to your face for each video be my guest

the whole point is that it's self contained withing instagram and is sharable to other people witch encourages people to spread it around giving you more followers
