Been wondering about it for a while, and my personal guess is within 1-2 years.

Monero is the perfect coin for Deep Web transactions, so I see it as the only option for replacing Bitcoin.

It bothers me that markets still haven't even implemented Monero yet.
I've messaged a few vendors and they actually take XMR as payment offsite but then there's no escrow so unless you trust your vendor offsite you gotta pay using bitcoin.

Agora 2.0 is adding Monero support soon and when it does I suspect a lot of vendors will move over there

I would say about that range, maybe a bit longer.

Monero is growing a lot in use.

Bothers me a lot too, makes no sense.
And I trust a lot of the vendors to be honest, but rather order from them through escrow first.

And that sounds awesome.

For long term, yeah. Monero is a good investment.

I hate to say this but I believe that if any coin has the potential to overtake bitcoin as king of crypto It will be monero.

Not going to happend.
Monero doesn't have the potential to become king of crypto. There's other coins with way more potential than Monero to become the king of crypto.
The illegal markets on the Deep Web is not large enough in the cryptocurrency industry anymore, to be the king of crypto, due to all the new players on the market.
