Good post OP. Also add that you should always confirm with all parties onsite specially the middleman, if the middleman in the group chat tries to say they can't verify onsite, then that is most likely a fake mm and you need to pull out of that deal immediately. Also all types of crucial information like logins to accounts and payment information like cashtags, paypal emails, btc addresses etc should be exchanged onsite instead of being exchanged on discord to prevent triangle scams.
